Our teams fall into 3 groups that reflect the purpose of Riverland Hills Baptist Church and The Young Professionals – REACHING, TEACHING, and MINISTRY.
Below are the three groups, along with the Senior Managers assigned to those groups and a summary of the responsibilities of each of the teams. If you would like to be a part of one of our teams, we suggest that you complete the Spiritual Gifts Series to help you identify the area(s) of service that best match your gifts. You can talk with the Senior Manager(s) assigned to the team in which you are interested, either in class or by e-mail.
REACHING Senior Managers: Charles & Dianne Sibley
Communication Team
Communicate to class members by phone, email, text messages & other appropriate means prayer requests, emergency situations & information about events & activities that require additional communication beyond announcements on the website.
GROW/Outreach Team
Enlist members to help with Tuesday night GROW ministry & expand the class outreach ministry to help grow the class.
Sunday Morning Hospitality Team
Sunday morning activities of greeting visitors & members, introduce visitors & newer members to other class members & assist them with obtaining info about the class. Coordinate food & room set-up/breakdown for class on Sunday morning.
TEACHING Senior Manager: Bill Crockett
Resources Team
Develop & grow a resource list for the spiritual & practical needs of the class, to include but not limited to audio files & manuscripts for teaching & learning, church ministries & their function, people to help in special situations & any other resource deemed appropriate for the needs of the class. Manage any audio/visual needs for the class.
Thursday Bible Study Team
Develop Thursday night Bible study ministry, including securing a monthly place to hold the meeting as well as food needed for the meeting.
Teacher & Group Leaders Team
Recruit & help with small group leaders & teachers or speakers for retreats, Sunday class, etc.
MINISTRY Senior Managers: Chip and LaDonna Davis
Administration Team
Oversee attendance, records, newsletter, class calendar & other administrative duties deemed necessary for the function of the class.
Finance Team
Establish & monitor the class budget, collect funds, donations & maintain the class treasury.
Social/Fellowship Team
Plan & coordinate class activities such as retreats, annual formal, & recreational activities for the class as well as any other social function of the class.
In-reach Team
Establish guidelines for recognitions of births, deaths, members moving away, weddings, hospitalizations, visitations, etc. that are related to the class. Coordinate recognitions of celebrations & benevolent events with other class committees; lead prayer requests & praises in class; coordinate benevolent visitations and ministries; send cards for special occasions such as birthday, anniversary, illness, sympathy, birth, or other occasions in keeping with guidelines. Notify class deacons of these relative situations.
Missions Team
Plan & coordinate class mission projects, such as Christmas family adoption, Salvation Army supper, other RHBC sponsored or class appointed mission efforts.
